FACILITY RULES
Welcome to The Courts of Amarillo. For your safety and enjoyment, the following facility rules will be enforced:

1. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. Bags and coolers will be subject to search. 
Teams will be allowed to bring in their own drinks and ice only.
2. NO GUM IN THE FACILITY.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. Ice and first aid items will be provided by the tournament host or
 each team will be responsible for their own supplies.
4. No spectators will be allowed on the playing floor at any time.
5. Street shoes are not permitted on the playing floor.
6. Unattended children will not be allowed upstairs and will be returned
to their parents. This area is for viewing, not playing.
7. Parents are responsible for their own children. We do not have
daycare facilities.
8. For your safety and that of others, horseplay of any kind will not be
tolerated.
9. Please do not sit on our tables or countertops. Chairs are provided.
10. Please use the garbage cans that have been provided throughout the
gyms and facility,
11. No smoking.
12. No Weapons allowed on the premises.
13. Secure all valuables. The Courts is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
14. No unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated. This includes profanity and rude gestures.
Anyone choosing not to abide by the rulesWILL BE asked to leave.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES SCHEDULE/LEAGUE FORMAT/PLAYOFF PROCEDURESA team must start and finish a game with a minimum of four (4) players.  Teams have until the third game to add players.  Each team must keep at least 50% of the players shown on the preliminary roster active throughout league play.  To be eligible to compete in playoff games, a player must have compete in at lease 3 games.League standings will be based on win/loss record and posted at www.thecourtsofamarillo.com. PLAYING TIMEGames will consist of two twenty minute halves with a 3 minute halftime.  The clock will stop for timeouts only, except for the last 2 minutes of the second half.  For these last 2 minutes, the clock will be stopped for all whistles.  There will be no stop time if there is a 15 point or more differential. If a player is shooting the ball outside the three point arch and is fouled, the player will be awarded three free throws.  Teams will shoot one-and-one and seventh foul, one plus one on 10th foul.The 3-point rule will be used. In case of a tie, there will be a 3 minute overtime period with stop time.  If a a tie exists after the first overtime, a sudden death overtime will be played, starting with a jump ball.  The first team to score is declared the winner.  No game shall end in a tie.  Each team is allowed 1 one-minute time out per half.  Unless otherwise stated, Official High School Rules govern league play.   Game time is forfeit time.  A forfeit is recorded as a loss.  In the event of a double forfeit, both teams receive a loss. PREGAME RULESEach team must provide their own scorekeeper. Dunking is not allowed during warm-ups.  The penalty is a technical foul to start the game. PLAYER CONDUCTOfficials will have the option of stopping and forfeiting a game if it gets out of control. Technical Foul:  2 shots plus ball out.  If a player receives a technical foul, he/she must sit on the bench for 5 minutes of playing time.  A second technical foul will result in immediate ejection from the game.  A player who is ejected from a game will not be eligible to play in the following game. Any player who receives a suspension during the regular season will automatically not be eligible for playoffs.  Any player who is ejected from a playoff game will not be eligible for further playoff games. Any player who commits their fifth personal foul is automatically disqualified from further play for that game.  MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONEach team must provide their own numbered jerseys. All facility rules will apply. Contact Angie Price for more information.
